Woody Pollack was thinking that a better desk chair might resolve his lower back issues.

But then the GrayRobinson partner got a better idea: Why not simply eliminate the desk in his law office? He now uses a hydraulic table that can be raised and lowered and allows him to work while standing, reports Bay News 9.

Pollack is not alone. Nearly a dozen lawyers at the 300-attorney firm’s Tampa office are using lap desks, standing desks or desks that incorporate a treadmill. Among them is partner Richard Blau, who now uses his former desk for storage and walks a treadmill while he is at work.

ā€œIā€™m constantly moving, so I feel like my body is more acclimated to the way it should be and not the stationary way I had been operating for quite some time,ā€ he said..
