Neighbors of Fort Dix Suspects Didn't Suspect
Neighbors and others who associated with six Muslim men arrested in an alleged plot to kill as many American soldiers as possible at Fort Dix, New Jersey say they had no idea the six might be capable of such destruction.
For instance, suspect Dritan Duka, 28, known as Tony, sold a Turnersville, N.J., pizza shop that he and a brother (who is also a suspect) owned together to Tony Giordano in 2005. “They weren’t the friendliest people,” Giordano tells AP, “but then again, who would know something like that?”
A neighbor who lives a couple of doors away from the suburban Philadelphia home shared by Duka and two brothers, all three of whom are suspects, said family members of the three – who were married and owned a roofing business – regularly brought by vegetables they had grown in their backyard garden. “You would not think that they would be capable of plotting something like this,” Michael Levine says of the three. “When I found out this morning, my heart stopped.”
