Updated: More than 80 percent of law firms surveyed about their use of outsourcing companies in 2010 declined to answer the questions.

That attitude is apparently changing. In a press release, Nixon Peabody is announcing it has entered into a preferred vendor relationship with Pangea3 for e-discovery review.

Pangea3 will be Nixon Peabody’s recommended legal processing provider for its clients, where appropriate. The relationship will permit Nixon Peabody clients to benefit from preferred pricing.

Greg McPolin, vice president and global head of Legal Solutions at Pangea3, explains the arrangement. “Pangea3 will provide litigation document review services—upon the request of Nixon Peabody’s clients—out of its U.S. or India delivery centers, using its team of over 500 full-time, permanent document review attorneys,” he said. His statement was provided to the ABA Journal in an email from a Thomson Reuters spokesperson.

Thomson Reuters acquired Indian legal process outsourcing company Pangea3 in November 2010.

Updated on Feb. 1 to state that lawyers will be doing the document review and to correctly attribute the information to Greg McPolin.
