Nudists Seeking a Say re Proposed San Francisco Towel-on-Seat Law Must Wear Clothes at City Hall
In the latest twist on a proposed law that would require those who stroll around naked in San Francisco to put a towel down before taking a public seat, a hearing is taking place at city hall.
But the city, while tolerant about public nudity generally, requires nudists to want a say at the Board of Supervisors committee hearing to wear clothes, pursuant to standard city hall policy, reports the San Francisco Chronicle on its City Insider blog.
Formal attire is not required:
“It could be large green plastic garbage bags,” an unidentified city official told the newspaper concerning the question of what would constitute acceptable top-and-bottom coverings. “As long as they have shoes.”
