Barack Obama is the second U.S. president who is a Harvard law graduate.

The Wall Street Journal Law Blog says 24 presidents have been lawyers, while an ABA book, published before Obama’s election, counted 25. The only other president who had a Harvard law degree was Rutherford Hayes.

The Wall Street Journal Law Blog lists two presidents with law degrees from Yale: Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton. Richard Nixon attended law school at Duke and Franklin Roosevelt went to Columbia.

Nixon was one of eight lawyer presidents to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court, according to the ABA Museum of Law, which is closed as it prepares for a new installation. The museum has an online trivia game that tests knowledge of the lawyer presidents.

The ABA book is called America’s Lawyer Presidents: From Law Office to Oval Office. The ABA Journal is also selling a coloring and activity book on the same topic.

Headline and article changed to omit reference to Rutherford’s “JD,” since Harvard awarded an LL.B. to its law graduates at the time.
