Purdue Pharma L.P. has pleaded guilty to misleading the public about the risk of addiction to the painkiller OxyContin.

Three current and former company executives have also entered pleas, according to the Associated Press.

The news comes two days after the company agreed to pay $19 million to 26 states to settle a lawsuit alleging the company encouraged doctors to over prescribe the drug.
