It’s now official: Clark Thomas & Winters, once one of the biggest and best-known law firms in Austin, Texas, has closed its doors.

Founded in 1938, the firm had 120 lawyers in 2009. However, it rapidly dwindled in recent months as group after group of lawyers exited. About 30 formed Duggins Wren Mann & Romero last month and are occupying the former Clark Thomas offices and paying rent to their former firm, reports the American-Statesman.

As of the end of last month, partner Larry McNeill is the sole shareholder and officer and is handling the winding down of Clark Thomas.
