Online Applications for Judicial Clerkships Jump by 66%

Online applications for federal clerkships jumped by 66 percent this year, spurred by an increase in applicants and the number of clerkships for which they applied.
The number of applicants increased by 42 percent, and they applied for an average of about 38 clerkships each, according to The BLT: The Blog of Legal Times.
In all, 10,722 people applied online, submitting 401,576 applications for clerkships. There are 1,244 clerkships advertised as available.
