A three-lawyer group led by the former head of patent litigation in the Boston, Palo Alto, Calif., and Washington, D.C., offices of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom started work today at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker.
Partner Jeffrey Randall will now co-chair his new firm’s global intellectual property practice, reports the Blog of Legal Times.
Making the move with him are partners Jeffrey Pade and Allan Soobert. All three will work out of Skadden's office in Washington, and Randall will also spend time in the firm's Palo Alto office.
“Strengthening our intellectual property litigation practice is an important strategic goal of the firm,” says Paul Hastings global chairman Jamie Wareham in a law firm press release. “Patent litigation work continues to be a growing practice area, and this team’s proven success representing clients in the IP and technology sector along with its reputation for superior client service will allow us to further develop our client base and expand our offerings both in the United States and globally.”
A Skadden spokesman declined to comment on the move, the BLT reports.
