Paul Weiss Steals 2 Corporate Partners from Shearman to Staff Its New Toronto Office

Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison raided Shearman & Sterling for manpower to staff its new Toronto office.
The new partners are Christopher Cummings, a capital markets and mergers and acquisitions practitioner who served as managing partner of Shearman's Toronto office, and Adam Givertz, according to the Am Law Daily and New York Lawyer (reg. req.).

The Canada office will practice only U.S. law. It will be looking for a number of associates to join the partners in Toronto.
