Pepper Hamilton’s nonlawyer CEO, Scott Green, is leaving the firm to “pursue other interests,” according to a statement by the law firm.

Green was hired in February 2012 and his contract with the law firm expires in 2014, report the Legal Intelligencer (sub. req.), the Philadelphia Business Journal and Philly.com. A Harvard MBA and a certified public accountant, Green was executive director of WilmerHale before joining Pepper Hamilton.

“During Mr. Green’s tenure,” the law firm statement said, “Pepper Hamilton acquired Freeh Group International Solutions, added lawyers from the law firm of Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, opened offices in Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley, expanded its operations in New York and enjoyed three years of unprecedented growth in revenues and profits. Scott’s leadership will be missed and the executive committee wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
