The Phoenix School of Law has changed its name after enrollment of new students dropped by 48 percent this year.

The school will now be called the Arizona Summit Law School, report the Arizona Republic and the National Law Journal (sub. req.). The school also has a new website, logo and advertising campaign.

According to a press release, “The new name highlights the ambition and drive of the students, faculty and staff at Arizona Summit Law School, collaborating to accomplish more, and ascend toward their personal ‘Summit.’ ”

The school enrolled 197 first-year students this year, down from 380 new students enrolled last year, the NLJ says The school is also fighting a lawsuit by two former tenured professors who say they were fired after objecting to proposals making it more difficult for students to transfer to other schools. The school’s motion to dismiss is pending.
