As ABA Journal staffers arrived at work today, they could not help but notice that a television pilot was in production at a riverfront cafe outside their Chicago office building.
And not just any pilot: A John Larroquette look-alike on the set today apparently was John Larroquette. He is the co-star, along with Jason Isaacs, of Pleading Guilty, a Fox drama based on the Scott Turow legal thriller of the same name, according to the Hollywood Reporter. And the title emblazoned on some of the set equipment was indeed Pleading Guilty.
Isaacs is to play a lawyer at a high-powered law firm who used to be a cop; Larroquette is its managing partner as it becomes embroiled in bookmaking, offshore banking and embezzlement, in addition to the more ordinary political issues of day-to-day practice.
