Police officers called to investigate a Nov. 2 shoplifting at a Canadian grocery store didn’t have to put in a lot of legwork to find their suspect after obtaining a surveillance photo.

As they were at work in the Barrie Courthouse on Friday, they spotted him. He was wearing the same coat he had on in the photo, headed to a court hearing in an unrelated matter, reports the Barrie Examiner.

The unidentified man was arrested on charges of theft, assault with intent to resist arrest, escaping lawful custody and breach of probation, and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Some of the charges relate to an alleged scuffle at the grocery store with security personnel who unsuccessfully attempted to hold their man for police.
