Police raided the Brewton office of an Alabama criminal defense attorney on Thursday and arrested her on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and attempt to commit a controlled substance crime.

Sara “Sally” Oswald Stoddard, 65, is accused of trading legal services for Lortab, reports WKRG. Police Chief Monte McGougin said Stoddard agreed to represent clients who supplied her with the highly addictive prescription drug.

The department wired an undercover officer to investigate after receiving tips from members of the community, the article says. It doesn’t include any comment from Stoddard or her counsel.
