Police rescue family from attacking house cat
Police in Portland, Ore., came to the rescue of a family who locked themselves in a bedroom after they were charged by their angry cat.
Cat owner Lee Palmer told police that the situation got out of hand when the cat attacked his baby, the Oregonian reports. Palmer told the 911 dispatcher that he kicked the cat in the rear to get him off the child. “It has gone over the edge,” Palmer said of the cat, a 22-pound Himalayan. “He’s trying to attack us—he’s very hostile. He’s at our door; he’s charging us.”
The family locked themselves into a bedroom with their dog.
Police used a snare to capture the cat and put it into a carrier. The Oregonian said that no one, including the baby, was injured.
