Although a law firm and Taco Bell Corp. have reached an undisclosed settlement concerning a would-be class action filed over the fast-food chain’s description of some of the items on its menu, a war of words continues.

Taco Bell is now planning a new national ad campaign in which it asks Alabama-based Beasley Allen for an apology for bringing suit, reports the Denver Post.

“Would it kill you to say you’re sorry?” the ad copy states.

Both sides proclaimed victory when the settlement was announced earlier this week. Taco Bell says it made no changes to its food or advertising and paid the law firm nothing. However, Beasley Allen said it asked only, from the outset, for Taco Bell to provide more accurate disclosure concerning its menu items, which it did.

A law firm spokeswoman declined to comment on the demand for an apology.
