Pro bono lawyers will monitor the polls for irregularities in Washington, D.C., during the presidential election vote.

D.C. Council member Mary Cheh announced that the lawyers are being enlisted after a “chaotic situation” during the primary when thousands of phantom voters were initially added to the tallies, the Washington Post reports.

Chey said Jenner & Block will help with a probe into the primary debacle. The company that provided the city with voting software has said the errors could have been caused by human error or static discharge.

Will they monitor the ACORN groups that have screwed with elections all too often?
