Forced to choose between her job and speaking on radio talk shows and at Tea Party events, a Florida prosecutor was fired this week after she refused to give up her public voice.

Assistant state’s attorney KrisAnne Hall tells WCTV that she wasn’t willing to trade her constitutional rights for a paycheck.

In an April 22 e-mail, her boss, Robert “Skip” Jarvis of the 3rd Judicial District wrote Hall, “I hate to do this, but I have to ask you to disassociate yourself from these folks. As an employee of the state of Florida, advocating against state government is advocating against your client.”

Hall now plans to sue in an effort to get her gig back, while presumably continuing with the Tea Party talks.
