A prospective juror in a Houston drug case was arrested yesterday on a charge she smoked pot outside the courthouse during a break.

Cornelia Mayo was charged with possession of marijuana, the Houston Chronicle reports. She was called as a possible juror in the trial of a woman charged with marijuana possession.

Judge Sherman Ross noted the irony. "I've had prospective jurors get lost before, but it never occurred to me that they might be getting ready for a marijuana trial by, allegedly, smoking marijuana," Ross told the newspaper.

A hat tip to How Appealing, which posted the story.
