In a move that exponentially expanded its Paris employment practice, Reed Smith has added seven attorneys there from Courtois Lebel, a French firm.

The group is headed by partners Nicolas Sauvage and Caroline Masson, who joined the firm on April 1 along with four associates and a counsel, reports Legal Week.

“We were looking for a greater international capability and brand. Most of our clients were extremely happy with the work we were doing, but the work we were given was small because they needed a brand and a name,” he tells the legal publication.

“With Reed Smith we get the name, great international employment capability and we have brought a team of employment specialists to enhance the firm’s French practice.”

Meanwhile the firm has also added three new lawyers to its Munich office from Hammonds. Headed by partner Philipp Seuss, who will join the media and technology practice group, the trio also includes an associate and a counsel.
