Rhode Island Lawyer Wins ‘Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50’ Contest
A Rhode Island criminal defense lawyer has been named PETA’s “Sexiest Vegetarian Man Over 50.”
Lawyer Robert Lombardo Jr. tells the Providence Journal that his girlfriend nominated him for the contest, probably because she was interested in the grand prize—a five-night trip to a vegetarian resort in Guatemala.
Lombardo is a former petroleum engineer and model, and has been a vegetarian for several years. He once worked as in-house counsel for a small Internet company that produced adult entertainment, according to his website. His current practice in Westerly, R.I., includes criminal defense, intellectual property and entertainment law.
PETA calls Lombardo and the female contest winner “healthy hotties” on its website and has photos of the finalists.
