San Fran's Sedgwick Adds 21-Lawyer Florida Firm
Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold is expanding into Florida via a merger with 21-lawyer Gordon Hargrove & James, which is based in Fort Lauderdale.
The San Francisco Business Times reports this will be thje 10th U.S. office of San Francisco-based Sedgwick once the merger is completed Jan. 1. Counting the new Gordon Hargrove lawyers, the international trial and litigation firm will soon have more than 400 attorneys on its roster.
Presently, the firm has U.S. offices in California, Chicago, New York (and nearby Newark, N.J.) and Texas, as well as international offices in London, Paris and Zurich, Switzerland. A Bermuda office is affiliated.
“I can think of no better way to commemorate Sedgwick’s 75th anniversary than by adding these exceptional attorneys to our firm, and expanding Sedgwick’s reach to the southeast,” says firm chairman Michael Tanenbaum in a press release about the merger.
