After opening a Seattle office last month, Sedgwick has now announced a new office in the nation’s capital.

It will be staffed by a 14-attorney team from Wallace Partners, led by the firm’s managing partner, Rick Wallace, says a press release. Wallace specializes in the defense of products liability cases and other complex litigation matters.

The move appears to involve almost the entire attorney roster of the Wallace firm, except for one partner and one senior counsel.

“Sedgwick’s reputation as a go-to trial firm is recognized on both the East and West Coasts,” says Wallace in the release. “I am honored to lead the firm’s expansion in Washington, D.C. For the clients we share with Sedgwick, the transition will be seamless. As for our clients who will be introduced to Sedgwick, I am confident they will be pleased with the capabilities an international firm can offer, as well as Sedgwick’s long history of excellent client service.”
