Sharon Stone is to become an ex-cop turned prosecutor for four weeks in April on NBC's Law & Order SVU television drama.
Remembered for her starring role alongside Michael Douglas in the 1992 Basic Instinct murder thriller, Stone won an Emmy award in 2004 for her three-episode appearance on The Practice as an unhinged attorney, reports the Ausiello Files blog of Entertainment Weekly.
“It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon’s wattage and importance joining SVU,” producer Dick Wolf tells the Ausiello blog.
