Silicon Valley powerhouse Fenwick & West to open office in Big Apple
Silicon Valley powerhouse Fenwick & West announced Tuesday that it is opening an office in New York City next month.
To be staffed initially by seven lawyers from the firm’s West Coast operation, the new Midtown office will focus on technology and life-sciences matters, the Wall Street Journal Law Blog reports.
“Our competitive advantages in the New York legal market are the same as they are in Silicon Valley and everywhere else across the globe where we do business—our unwavering focus on technology and life sciences and our collaborative ‘one-firm’ culture,” said chairman Richard Dickson in a news release. “Our strategy in New York is rather simple—we’re listening to our clients. We’re expanding our commitment to the New York market just as our New York-based clients expand their commitment to technology and to the legal services we offer.”
Currently, the firm has four other offices in California, Seattle and Shanghai, according to its website.
