Sleep isn’t as restful as it used to be for 49-year-old “Frances,” a law firm employee who worries that she and her boyfriend could lose their jobs due to the dismal economy.

‘I’ll have dreams about what can happen, of actual conversations of talking to my boyfriend and saying, `Oh, my God, we’ve ended up in a shelter,’ ” she tells the Miami Herald.

As she and other workers stress out, their anxiety is keeping physicians who deal with sleep disorders busy, the newspaper reports. And, given the importance of sleep to leading a healthy, productive life, it’s important that those suffering from nightmares, insomnia and other sleep disorders find a solution.

Among the tips offered by one psychiatrist for sleeping soundly: exercise, eat healthy, drink lots of water and have fulfilling sex.
