A growing Cincinnati-based regional law partnership is acquiring a 92-year-old Kentucky firm, enhancing its mass tort and labor and employment practice groups.

Although Dinsmore & Shohl will retain all 54 attorneys from Woodward Hobson and Fulton, however, there may be some staff layoffs, Dinsmore managing partner George Vincent tells the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The two firms, which expect to merge Sept. 1, will have a combined attorney roster of about 450 lawyers in 10 offices in the Midwest, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Dinsmore will now be one of the largest law firm presence in Kentucky, with more than 100 attorneys practicing there, a press release notes.
