Steptoe opens office in Silicon Valley
Two intellectual property partners from King & Spalding will staff a new Palo Alto, Calif., office of Steptoe & Johnson, and patent litigator William F. Abrams will serve as its managing partner, the San Francisco Business Times reports. Sanjeet Dutta is the other new partner.
A King & Spalding press release from 2012 says Abrams joined that firm from Bingham McCutchen, where he co-chaired the intellectual property practice group, about a year-and-a-half ago. A Steptoe press release provides more details about the new Palo Alto office.
Steptoe also has nine other offices in Beijing; Brussels; Century City, Calif.; Chicago; London; Los Angeles; New York City; Phoenix and Washington, D.C., according to the firm’s website.
