Former supermodel Christie Brinkley, 54, and her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Peter Cook, 49, suddenly reached a settlement of their ongoing divorce trial this morning after an all-night negotiating session.

The 6:15 a.m. pact calls for Brinkley to get custody of their children, and to pay Cook, an architect, a $2.1 million settlement, reports the Associated Press. Says Cook, who continues seeing the children on Wednesdays and alternate weekends, as he has been for some time: “It’s everything I asked for.”

The divorce trial attracted international attention, in part because of Brinkley’s fame but apparently, too, because of testimony that Cook had an affair with an 18-year-old, to whom he gave more than $300,000. New York, according to Reuters, is the only state in the country that still requires parties in contested divorce cases to provide evidence of “fault,” encouraging such revelations.

This was Brinkley’s fourth marriage.
