A 38-year-old Florida attorney is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail after being charged with burglary concerning a February break-in at a neighbor’s mobile home.

William Webb Greenfelder has apparently been struggling in recent years–his license was suspended after he failed to pay bar fees and was arrested, although not convicted, in a domestic incident in Tampa concerning his wife, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

After the February mobile home break-in was discovered in Dade City, his landlord found Greenfelder’s cell phone charging inside and an extension cord leading in the direction of his own neighboring trailer, although it stopped several feet short of his home. At the time, the power had been shut off at Greenfelder’s place, the newspaper recounts.

At the time, Greenfelder told sheriff’s officers he knew nothing about the extension cord and said his cell phone must have been stolen. The article doesn’t include any comment from him or his counsel concerning the burglary charge.
