Taft Stettinius & Hollister plans to add another 30 lawyers to its roster Jan. 2, when a merger is planned with Columbus-based Chester Willcox & Saxbe.

Charles “Rocky” Saxbe will share management of the melded 42-attorney Columbus office with David Johnson, who has been at the helm there since 1983, reports Columbus Business First.

“The timing seems right because of changes in the legal profession and changing needs and requirements of our clients,” said Saxbe, explaining that as client businesses grew, “we decided to grow with them.”

The Ohio-based Taft Stettinius firm has about 400 lawyers in offices in Phoenix, Indianapolis, Kentucky and Ohio.
