One of Tennessee’s largest law firms announced Thursday the addition of 10 shareholders, including two name partners, from a 26-attorney Nashville firm.

An unstated number of associates and staff from Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner also are expected to join Bass Berry & Sims, reports the Nashville Business Journal.

The Bass Berry website lists nearly 250 attorneys, not including the new hires. The website of Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner, which is known as h3gm, has 26 lawyers, including 18 shareholders.

The two name partners exiting h3gm are Craig Gabbert and Mark Manner, who is also managing partner of the Harwell firm.

“Having worked with them for more than 30 years, we know firsthand that their national reputation for excellence is well deserved,” Manner said of Bass Berry in Thursday’s news release. “In addition to sharing a number of mutual clients, we share a similar commitment to gaining a profound understanding of our clients’ businesses and providing perspective, sound judgment, efficiency and responsiveness to every matter. We look forward to providing our clients with access to a broader range of practice areas and with even more resources to meet their needs.”

The article doesn’t include any information about h3gm lawyers who may not be joining Bass Berry. An ABAJournal.com reporter was told that Manner, who is handling all media inquiries, was in a meeting Thursday afternoon and was not immediately available for further comment.
