'The Lincoln Lawyer' to be Adapted for Television
For those who can’t get enough of legal dramas, ABC is adapting the movie Lincoln Lawyer for TV-viewing audiences.
The Lincoln Lawyer, the movie featuring Matthew McConaughey depicting the life of Los Angeles defense attorney Mickey Haller, has grossed $58 million at the box office, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The move to TV should come as no surprise to Minneapolis Star Tribune reviewer Colin Covert, who panned the movie when it first was released as playing “like the pilot for a TV series that would die after three weeks.”
The “Lincoln” in the move title refers to the Town Car with the “NTGUILTY” license plate that, in the movie, McConaughey uses as his law office.
It is based on the first of a series of books by Michael Connelly.
