Petri Haussila, a White & Case partner in Helsinki, made $4.9 million in taxable income last year, making him the second-highest-paid person in Finland.

A Finnish newspaper identified Haussila as the No. 2 wage-earner, the Am Law Daily reports. The rankings are based only on wages. Income from investments and other sources was not part of the calculation.

Haussila is global head of White & Case’s capital markets practice and executive partner of the Helsinki office.

The No. 1 person was another lawyer, former Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, the story says. He made about $11 million, thanks in part to a $7.6 million buyout he received when he left the company.
