Threatened with Lawsuit, LPGA Ends 'Female at Birth' Rule

After being sued by a trasngender woman, the LPGA has decided to amend a rule that provided for only ‘female at birth” players to participate in its golf tournaments, reports Golf Week.

The suit was filed by a former San Francisco police officer, Lana Lawless. She had a sex change operation before filing a suit contending that the rule violated California civil rights law.
