Tulsa, Oklahoma, lawyer Mark Lyons wanted his shotguns back.

Lyons, a senior attorney at Lyons & Clark, told FOX23 that he was in the building hallway as he was arriving at his downtown law office Monday morning when he saw a man holding two of his shotguns emerge from a door.

“I grabbed one of the shotguns,” Lyons told the broadcast station, “and the confrontation was on.”

Lyons wrestled away one of the guns, which wasn’t loaded, and the suspect dropped the other shotgun and ran. Lyons gave chase, following the man out the door and into the streets. “I’m running through traffic with cars having to be stopped, and I’ve got a pistol in my hand trying to chase this guy,” Lyons recalled in the FOX23 interview.

The man got away, but police later arrested a suspect, Larry Brown. Police believe Brown walked into the office at Lyons & Clark and stole the shotguns when a secretary was in the back room.
