Two men who met during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, over the police slaying of Michael Brown admitted Tuesday in federal court in St. Louis that they planned to blow up the county’s top prosecutor and Ferguson’s police chief.

Neither target was injured, but federal agents and local police obtained phone records and texts and recorded some phone calls of Olajuwon Ali Davis, 23, and Brandon Orlando Baldwin, 24, that established a basis for their indictment, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Both men pleaded guilty Tuesday to explosives and firearms charges. They face potential seven-year prison terms when they are sentenced in August.

An earlier St. Louis Post-Dispatch article provides more details.
