Unsolved Lawyer Murder Probed
Legal Times takes a look at the unsolved murder of a Washington, D.C., lawyer and asks why the investigation has been stymied.
“The answer involves bureaucratic delays, rotating prosecutors and a trio of potential suspects, who quickly lawyered up,” the publication says.
Robert Wone, general counsel for Radio Free Asia, was stabbed with a butcher knife last Aug. 2 as he slept in the rowhouse of a friend, D.C. lawyer Joseph Price. Two others were also present in the home that night.
All three people in the home have hired prominent attorneys, who say the trio has given police no cause to suspect them. Price continues to work at Arent Fox. In the meantime, the case has been transferred three times within the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
