DLA Piper is reviewing the jobs of up to 20 associates and 20 staffers in its United Kingdom offices.

The lawyers affected by the “redundancy consultation” work in a number of practice groups, but have roles relating to real estate and finance, The Lawyer reports.

Joint CEO Nigel Knowles said economic conditions have reduced demand for services in real estate and finance, leading to a consultation about possible layoffs at six U.K. locations, including the London office. In August, the firm laid off five London lawyers in its technology, media and commercial group.

Last month the law firm announced it is shifting to a one-tier partnership structure and invited 275 nonequity partners to make capital contributions.
