A lag in litigation work is partially to blame for layoffs of nine associates and nonpartner lawyers at Vedder Price.
All those laid off from the 258-lawyer firm were in Chicago office, except for one lawyer in New York, Crain's Chicago Business reports.
The publication reports that among those laid off were two litigators. The rest were corporate and transactional lawyers.

Hate to be the sole lay-off in NY. But that’s what you get for working w/ Eddie Vedder & Pearl Jam

They make it seem as if this is the only layoff they have done, they have laid off other people prior to this. I guess they are trying to get a “Vedder Price” for thier associates
