The two-year-old New York office of Washington, D.C.-based Venable is growing up fast. Now numbering about 30 attorneys, it may soon have another six to 10 lateral-hire lawyers on the firm roster, and administrators hope to at least double the number of New York attorneys within the next few years.
Meanwhile, the firm is also moving its offices from the historic Chrysler Building, in midtown Manhattan, to twice as much space at 1270 Avenue of the Americas, in Rockefeller Center. "Our steady growth over the past two years requires that we find a new home that can accommodate Venable's continued expansion in New York," Edmund O'Toole, the partner in charge of the New York office, tells the New York Law Journal. The article was reprinted by New York Lawyer (reg. req.).
Venable's New York practice focuses on civil litigation, midmarket corporate transactions and white-collar matters.
