What started out as a road trip through the Midwest for two Eastern seaboard solos has morphed into what promises to be a long-term video project featuring the thoughts and experiences of solo and small firm practitioners across the country.

This week, Carolyn Elefant of Washington, D.C., and Lisa Solomon of Ardsley, N.Y., launched SoloCorps to tell the stories of solos they meet when they travel. Eventually, the two hope to provide a platform where practitioners will be able to record their own stories and upload video on their own.

They kicked off the unique storytelling venture in Minnesota, where Elefant and Solomon are presenting programs during the Strategic Solutions for Solos & Small Firms Conference in Duluth. They’ll continue their road trip and their SoloCorps interviews when the travel later this week to the Nebraska State Bar Association Solo & Small Firm Conference near Omaha.

Along the way, they’ll be hosting tweet-ups in Minneapolis and Des Moines.
