A visually impaired attorney who reportedly failed to report his law practice income to the Social Security Administration in 2010 as he collected disability payments from the agency has taken a plea in a criminal fraud case.

Robert Brauker, 37, pleaded guilty on Tuesday in federal court in St. Louis to two counts of felony theft, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. He has received disability payments related to his vision since 1993, according to his attorney.

The article doesn’t expressly state how the Social Security Administration found out that Brauker had income from a part-time law practice in 2010 after earning his legal degree in 2008 from Michigan State University. However, it notes that he listed his law practice on a resume he submitted when seeking a legal job at the Social Security Administration.

His sentencing is scheduled in January, an Associated Press article notes.
