Entries for this year’s Peeps in Law Story 3 diorama contest are coming in, and we’ve learned that no subject is too touchy to depict in sugary form. So far there are three entries—including one from yours truly—inspired by the infamous Westboro Baptist Church demonstrators.

There are also entries featuring Peeps dying from boredom over document review and one featuring sunbathing Peeps covered in oil after the Gulf oil spill.

Over the weekend, the ABA Journal visited with the Peeps team as it made its way across the country during its Random Acts of Sweetness Tour of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

The Peepster, a bright yellow Volkswagen beetle topped with a giant yellow Peep, is mobbed at just about every stop. On Saturday, despite heavy rain and being three hours late, the Peepster was greeted by a crowd of 500 loyal fans in Racine, Wis., according to Paul Gustafson, who’s spearheading the tour. The mobile Peep has also had its share of near-miss accidents on the road as fans, cameras in hand, jump in front of the vehicle for a photo opp.

Peeps in Law entries are due by midnight, central time, on Tuesday. ABA Journal staff will pick their favorite three, then ask readers to make their picks, with prizes going to the top two submissions. Peeps maker Just Born will reward the best two submissions with Peeps prize packs filled with Peeps treats and treasures worth $150 and $100.
