The U.S. Supreme Court is in full swing, granting or denying petitions of certiorari on a regular basis. Recently, they’ve granted a petition over the constitutionality of state laws that make refusing blood-alcohol tests a crime; they’ve denied a petition challenging a Chicago suburb’s assault-weapons ban; and have yet to decide on whether to hear a case challenging Colorado’s legalization of marijuana.

So this week, we’d like to ask you: What case do you think the Supreme Court needs to hear? You can include it even if it’s a case that’s already been denied, or one that is not set for a conference (see SCOTUSblog’s handy list).

Posted by Ardyth Eisenberg: “The short answer is, I applied to DePaul U. law school because it’s on the same Chicago Transit Authority L line as my home. The longer answer is, I applied when I was 49 and, even though I’d been a smart kid in high school and college, my LSAT score wasn’t that great. I didn’t think U of Chicago or Northwestern would accept me (and the daily commute to either one would have been brutal), and I hoped DePaul would. It did and I’m glad.”
