Georgetown University is the nation’s most popular law school, judging by the number of applications it attracted last year.

The school attracted 7,793 full-time applications for the fall of 2014, according to U.S. News & World Report. It tops the list of these five law schools that attracted the most full-time applications:

1) Georgetown (7,793 applications)

2) New York University (6,193 applications)

3) Columbia University (6,188 applications)

4) Harvard University (5,943 applications)

5) University of Pennsylvania (5,828 applications)

At the other end of the spectrum was the University of South Dakota, with only 293 law-school applications. That was the fewest number among law schools ranked by U.S. News. The school admitted nearly 83 percent of its applicants.
