Scaramucci out as White House communications director after 10 days

Anthony Scaramucci is out as White House communications director after just 10 days on the job.
Scaramucci was reportedly ousted at the request of President Donald Trump’s new chief of staff, John Kelly, report the New York Times and the Washington Post. The Times report is based on three anonymous sources while the Post article is based on two confidential sources.
Outgoing press secretary Sean Spicer confirmed that Scaramucci is leaving. “Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,” Spicer said in a statement published by the Post. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”
Current press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters on Monday that Scaramucci has no role in the administration “at this time,” Politico reports. She refused to comment on why Scaramucci left the job. “I’m not going to get into the process tick-tock,” she said.
Scaramucci had sharply criticized Reince Priebus in a CNN interview on Thursday, accusing him of leaking information and threatening to fire the entire communications staff over leaks. Priebus was replaced by Kelly late Friday afternoon.
Scaramucci, a Harvard law grad, was well-liked and a “big personality” when he attended Harvard Law, according to a classmate from the class of 1989, Richard Kahlenberg. He has said he spent too much time studying his first year there, but he didn’t study for the bar exam and failed twice.
