Wiley Rein has completed a deal to buy the lobbying firm McBee Strategic, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of the law firm.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the Blog of Legal Times reports. McBee Strategic’s founder, Steve McBee, left the firm about two months ago for a position as CEO of an energy company.

McBee Strategic has a lobbying group and a communications group. Its professionals will remain in their present offices and the firm will operate separately from Wiley Rein’s public policy practice, the story says.

McBee Strategic’s lobbying side earned about $10 million in publicly disclosed business in 2013.
