Kansas City, Missouri, lawyer Jeffrey Tonkin found an involuntary intruder in his law office on Monday.

Legal secretary Monica Hastings was the first to spot the intruder—a turkey that may have been propelled through Tonkin’s window by strong winds, KCTV reports. “I opened up the door” to Tonkin’s office, Hastings told the broadcast station, “and I saw a little turkey tail go past his desk.”

The bird left a hole in Tonkin’s window, and droppings and feathers in his office. The lawyer was working with plastic gloves to avoid the mess.

An animal control officer captured the turkey with a tablecloth and took it to a nature center. The bird had a cut on its head, but was OK.
